Daily life at the Institute

Here we provide a brief overview of some of the tasks that take up daily life at the Martinus Institute. The description is elaborated in the following pages. See also a presentation of voluntary work and our employees.

Reception
Reception is the service centre of the Institute and is our primary contact with the public. Here we deal with enquiries from people interested in Martinus, sell all Martinus’ books, Martinus’ lectures on CD etc. and dispatch orders received by the Institute’s internet bookshop. We process new subscriptions to Kosmos and deal with bookings for all our courses, including rental of accommodation in Klint. You can contact us by e-mail at info@martinus.dk. Reception is also open for personal callers and for telephone calls from Monday-Thursday 1 pm to 4 pm and on Fridays from 9 am to 12 noon.

Martinus publishing house

The Institute has its own publishing house, which publishes Martinus’ books in Danish and a number of other languages. We make contracts with publishers and distributors in other countries. We also publish the magazine Kosmos in 5 languages. Read more about publishing.

Translations
Martinus’ texts are currently being translated into a large number of languages. More than 50 translators, proofreaders and others are involved in this important work. Read more.

Preservation and preparation of The Third Testament
Responsibility for Martinus’ works includes ensuring the preservation of the original source material. At the same time we must ensure that the texts are thoroughly checked before being published in Danish and in other languages. As a link in this process, all the texts are converted into electronic form. In order to ensure the necessary protection of the texts and the symbols, they are covered by society’s rules regarding author’s rights and copyright. Read more.

Information and education
We aim to render the content of The Third Testament visible and accessible to all those who are seeking this kind of knowledge. The Institute contributes by providing information, partly through this homepage, partly via brochures and leaflets, and  -  not least - through our lectures and courses. Actually, everyone who is interested in the cosmic analyses contributes to this information service and educational work. Read more.

Courses and lectures
Most of our lectures and courses take place at the Martinus Centre in Klint, but there are also lectures, seminars and study groups at the Institute in Frederiksberg. See detailed information in our teaching programme. About 40 lecturers and teachers are involved in teaching. It is very important for us that teaching under the auspices of the Institute is always based on Martinus’ own works. The planning and organision of the teaching and the making of the programmes for our courses is carried out by the Education Committee. The Institute’s co-workers take care of the practical work involved in organising and arranging lectures and courses.

Historical archives
We work continuously to register and process the posthumous material left after Martinus’ death. The same applies to a wide range of historical informal, lists of events, photos, film footage etc., all of which helps shed light on his life and work. Martinus himself emphasised the importance of being able to study the development of his “Cause”, as he called it, in the future. Read more.

Two museums: Martinus’ flat and his childhood home
At the Institute Martinus’ flat has been preserved as a museum, as is his childhood home “Moskildvad” in Sindal.

Organisation and administration

The activities of the Institute are organised under the umbrella of Fonden Martinus Åndsvidenskabelige Institut (The Martinus Institute of Sprirtual Science Fund). The daily work is a cooperation between employees and voluntary workers. Their cooperation is organised by a number of committees and working groups. Our administration also involves essential tasks such as book-keeping, accounting, IT and property maintenance.

The work of the council

The council has the overall responsibility for the work of the Institute and is the board of  Fonden Martinus Åndsvidenskabelige Institut (The Martinus Institute of Sprirtual Science Fund). See tasks and the members of the two boards.
