February 25th 1960.
The time now is 4 a. m. and this is T. P. Advani calling from New Delhi and sending to you my very revered Mahatma Martinus and all the friends in Copenhagen and Scandinavia my very best wishes and greetings on the eve of my very dear friend Mr. Erik Gerner Larsson's departure from this country. It is with a very heavy heart that I am sending this message and I don't know how to put it in words but I can assure you that as a result of my friendship with Mr. Gerner Larsson from October 1957, I have been amply rewarded. He is really one of the very few and fine specimens of human beings whom I classify as fully transcendent and in him I have found a most charming personality. The tree of Martinus Institute of Spiritual Science planted by him two years ago is taking roots and growing well. It will in course of time be a full fledged tree giving shade, blossom and fruit and happiness and peace to thousands of unhappy souls wandering in the thick woods and mists of sorrow and helplessness like lost children crying for words of solace. Under the shade of this tree many a ship will be saved from foundering on the rocks of strife, suspicion and Jealousy. The above tree shall be looked after by me, with the help of GOD, and I shall have it watered, manured and pruned as also protected from sun and rain till my life lasts on this planet and you can all rest assured about it.
Often times we both have been sitting up together late in the night discussing various problems facing the world and from what little I have been able to gather from my talks with him I feel more strongly than ever before that he and Mahatma Martinus were here in India during their last life. They were both sent by the GREAT ARCHITECT OF THIS UNIVERSE to go and be reborn in the West and deliver the message of the East to the West which is today caught up in the quiagmire of materialistic philosophy and racial arrogance. To me it appears that the oil in the lamps of faith in the West is fast diminishing and very soon the whole of the western world will be enveloped in a thick cloud of utter darkness and stark misery. The time is not very distant when something is going to happen and the very limbs of mankind will quake. One day all of us will cry for help but there will be no answer. The seers and sages of yore were all crying hoarse that we must all live on faith in GOD and remember HIM with every breath of our lives. I am here reminded of a beautiful quotation which reads as under:
"Practice the presence of GOD as you would practice music."
and yet one more quotation which is this:
"To run after pleasure and power is like licking honey spread on sharp edge of a razor, It may taste sweet, but it will cut the tongue in twain."
The misfortune is that we are living in a world in which there is a constant shadow of fear, hate and distrust hovering upon us for all time. Billions and billions of pounds and dollars are being wasted on weapons, fire spitting machines and guided missile plus the experiments on space travel while millions of human beings in underdelevoped areas of the world live under conditions which I call subhuman. And millions die of diseases, undiagnosed, untreated, uncared for, unwept and unsung as there are no hospitals and doctors available. As I look around, I see man set against man and country against country because mutual trust is lacking and there is constant fear complex in the sick minds of the people allround. We urgently need physicians to cure us of this dreaded disease of fear and hate which is only eating up our vitals from day to day. What is the message of the Ages? It is that we human beings are leaves of one tree and flowers of the same garden with different hues and aromas. Despite so much suffering caused in the 2 great wars the nations still indulge in defence pacts and unholy alliances. It is these very pacts that cause tensions and ultimately throw an error of emotional outburst we may again be caught up into a global conflict and heavens forbid, there will then be nothing left either for the victor or for the vanquished. Everyone will be a loser in this stupid gamble, the cost of which is inconcievable in money, metal, men, tears and blood. Dark forces are at work and it is very essential that thinkers and philosophers from all parts of the world got together to shape human destiny.
I can't resist confessing that I fully admire and appreaciate the great personal sacrifice made by Mrs. Lise Gerner Larsson for letting Mr. Gerner Larsson stay away at this great distance from her and their son KIM for full 4 months during which period he was fully occupied in doing real solid work for the Institute and I call this work of his as God's good work. The contacts made by him during the last 2 years will be life long contacts. Once again I greet you Mahatma Martinus, Mrs. Lise Gerner Larsson and Kim and send you my very affectionate regards though I haven't had the pleasure and privilege of meeting you. I shall now close this with my fervent prayer to the LORD to help us and take us out of this swamp ground of selfishness, arrogance, greed, fraud and exploitation of man by man on this planet. May the divine light shine on you all and every one else in all the 4 corners of the world.
Good-bye and God bless you all.
T. P. Advani.
