Third section. Fanatical reformers and true world redeemers
127. Third section. This section consists of those individuals who manifest and express the extreme consequences of a too greatly developed faculty of feeling in connection with a too little developed faculty of intelligence. These people represent the strongest and most pronounced degree of unintelligent imagination and so they will actually appear in life as "dreamers". Because of their greatly exaggerated religious nature, some of the vibrations and forces from the new world impulse will have been able to find a direct way to their consciousness. The result of this has been that - in spite of lacking intuition and clarity of vision - they have begun forming new ideas or concepts about life and this leads to a fresh estimation of their ideals. However, because they are not really pure but possess certain forms of ambition or egoism, the consequences of contact with those forces just mentioned will be influenced by their lower and unfinished natures. Sometimes the most dominating among these dreamers will form sects or religious organizations which are founded on their more or less unrealistic concepts. Such people can often be misguided by their own far too productive imaginations to such a degree that they eventually come to consider themselves as true "world teachers", "new messiahs", "reformers" and the like. However, as they in all honesty take mankind's improvement and inspiration as their aim, in many cases they may be an asset to the community when it is not ambition but a true feeling of duty and sympathy that inspires them, and they may even create a certain spiritual stimulation for those surrounding them. Indeed, with favourable conditions they may even attract thousands of supporters. But as it is not always just sympathy or a sense of duty but, on the contrary, mainly the lower and unfinished tendencies that dominate the consciousness of these people, then accordingly one will realize that through their teachings, ideas and concepts they are expressing jealousy and intolerance towards people who think differently, or towards other founders of sects from whom they fear competition or an undermining of their cause. And in the same degree as their intolerance is released, they will become harmful to the community and thus will be easy to distinguish from that type of reformer who has acquired partial initiation or who belongs to the Great Birth's forecourt. They are also easy to distinguish from the true world redeemers or messiahs who, without doubt, can only come from a stage of development where lower tendencies and passions have long since been discarded in favour of the highest forms of unselfishness and humility, combined with the highest developed feelings, intelligence and intuition, all of which has been the sole factor is designating all those redeemers as beings from a zone which can only be described as the "home of eternal peace", or as a kingdom which is not yet of this world.
