As readers have been informed repeatedly, the aggregate matter in the Universe appears in seven great basic types, six of which are material for the subconsciousness while the seventh is material for the super-consciousness. Because matter is concentrated energy, these seven different kinds of matter are referred to in "Livets Bog" as the "basic energies".
      It is through these seven basic energies that all creation is possible. As the six basic energies constitute the very material from which everything is created, there are also six corresponding basic forms of creation. Moreover, as each of these basic forms has a zone of life where it culminates – that is, where it constitutes the dominant nature – then there are also six corresponding planes of existence. As these planes of existence are eternally populated with all existing living beings, then this means that these are also divided into six basic types of beings, each according to the basic energy that is dominant in their manifestation.
