357. At the same time as referring the reader to Symbol No. 9, where a view is given of these six basic energies unfolding in relation to each other, I will just touch upon the seventh basic energy through which is brought about the eternal nature of the I and the release of fate.
      While the aforesaid energies constitute material for temporal organisms or bodies, for mentality, experience and creation, the seventh basic energy, on the other hand, forms material for all that is of an eternal nature connected with the I, everything that has to be carried over from one life to the next, such as faculties, abilities and talents. Thus it is the foundation for everything which the individual is "born with" in his temporal lives. It is also by virtue of this energy that a rhythm is released by which the I can exist in the eternal "spiral-journey", that is the eternally alternating experience of "intellectuality" and "unintellectuality", and the resulting experience respectively of love and hatred. It is this energy that regulates the rhythms of the other energies so that each individually develops or decreases to its greatest limit, that is to say, each has a culmination of its manifestation where it is dominating the other energies and also a latent condition where it is only valid to a very small degree. As mentioned above, it is in the seventh basic energy that the I's super-consciousness is created together with the fate-element and the talent-kernels. By means of this the I builds up a body through which it can master the six other basic energies and with their assistance create its subconsciousness as well as all its other kinds of aspects and manifestations.
      As this energy, in reality, thus constitutes the basic foundation for the I's use of the other energies and so these are, in a way, subject to it, then this, the I's seventh great source of power, has been defined as the "mother-energy".
