361. But the rhythm of the basic energies in the "spiral" proceeds unceasingly and guides the individual by degrees and almost imperceptibly onwards so that the "animal" slowly becomes quite another being. This being is the "true human being".
      It is with the culmination of "gravity-energy" in the "spiral's" second section that the type of being we call "terrestrial man" begins. But this individual is not in any way a fully developed "human being". He still employs the explosive energy to an overwhelming degree both in thought and action. Bloodshed and fire follow in his footsteps. The expert in murder eats, drinks and breeds in the same manner as the "tiger" and the "pig'; there is a wild animal's gleam in his eye, and around him there are cries of distress and the knell of death. He is a genuine son of the "earth". The kingdom which we shall now observe is therefore "not of this world". But its atmosphere has already begun to overshadow the spiral's second zone. The genius in homicide is degenerating. After "gravity-energy" has culminated, the energies of "feeling" and "intelligence" increase so powerfully that the energy for killing becomes more and more contained. The violence of the explosions greatly decreases and gradually they lose their destructiveness. The reaction between the energies becomes of a quiet nature. This quietness is experienced by the animal-like being as "peace". And as peace enters into the consciousness there begins the incarnation of a new kingdom in earthly flesh and blood. And with the increasing harmony between the energies of "gravity", "feeling" and "intelligence", so does "peace' turn into "love". And on the ruins of that expertise in murder there arises a "new heaven" and a "new earth where justice dwells". A kingdom which is "not of this world" comes to pass, shining and sparkling throughout the terrestrial continents. The purely material administration of valuable goods will long since have been converted to "C knowledge". The good that the individual wishes to do, he does, and the evil he does not wish to do, he will not do. At this point such a nature has long since become an automatic function for the human being and love is absolute and a matter of course. And with this harmony with the laws of life in the consciousness a new energy begins to make its entry into the consciousness. This energy is "intuition-energy". As this energy consists of the finest material for consciousness, then it constitutes the "matter" with which life's highest ideas are created. Indeed, it is the very material for the Godhead's consciousness. This energy may therefore be termed as identical with the "Holy Spirit". Wherever "intuition" gains entry into the consciousness of a loving being, the Godhead will be experienced. That individual becomes "one with the Father". He is raised up to the Godhead's own viewpoint. He will see freely throughout the Universe, throughout time and space, for there, lying before his wondering eyes, is the kingdom of God.
      This tremendous experience is certain to leave an impression upon this human being. He begins to emulate "God's kingdom". He begins to create himself in the form of "God's image after His likeness". The previous murder expert has become an artist in the interpretation of humanity and fellow-feeling. He has become a genius in the art of love.
      The true human being thus distinguishes himself from an earthly or animal-like being, who specializes in causing bodily injuries and disasters, by now having become a specialist in the manifestation of humanity, that is – love. While in the wake of the former being's footsteps all was death and destruction, now wherever this true human being passes by, life flourishes. There is a radiance surrounding such beings of love.
      As is shown in the symbol, the purely physical state of the true human being is still somewhat predominant. A true human being is still obliged to eat and drink, but in contrast to animals and primitive terrestrial beings, who usually eat the flesh and blood of other animals, his food now consists of the "flesh" of plants, that is to say, the substance surrounding the kernels of plant beings. This substance consists mainly of life-units, or micro-beings who can be assimilated alive into a person's flesh and blood and thereby can continue further development without any form of suffering. Therefore this substance differs from meat and other rougher kinds of nourishment because in that type of food there are immense numbers of micro-beings who cannot be assimilated into a person's flesh and blood as nourishment. These micro-beings are thus killed in the process of digestion. And it is their "dead" bodies which together form what we call "excrement".
      In the coarser kinds of foods there are comparatively few micro-beings who can be assimilated in the blood as nourishment and so the remaining mass of all ingested food becomes nothing but refuse. And the digestive organs of primitive beings are based largely on giving space for this refuse. Such a being will therefore differ from the true human being in possessing a tougher and more robust organism.
      As the true human being's food is, so to speak, a hundred percent nourishment, its organism outgrows the need to deal with waste-products. And once freed from this burden his organism is naturally far more sensitive and refined than that of present-day terrestrial man. His stomach and other digestive organs will become of smaller capacity and the whole body more slender.
      Moreover, there is the "pole transformation" itself, that is to say the being's transition from "animal sexuality" to "human sexuality". This is when the most beautiful aspects of the mental nature and physical contours of a woman's femininity and of a man's masculinity become united as a divine combination in a single being, so that the resulting true human being's organism will constitute the culminating apex of all that is attainable of beauty and perfection in the creation of physical organisms or tools for intellectual manifestation.
      Through never having to deal with waste-products and always eating only that which is absolutely nourishing, such true human beings are free from that heavy burden which binds primitive animals and terrestrial man and which, to a great extent, constitutes the reason for the latter being so "earth-bound" and prone to illness.
      However, during the time when the true human being is entering more and more into the correct way of eating so that the need for purely physical food is diminishing, there is another source of nutrition growing within that individual, namely, nourishment from respiration. The highest example of the true human being will actually come to the point of living entirely on air. The physical organism will gradually become so refined that from a nutritional point of view it can be maintained entirely by the function of respiration. And here that being approaches a stage where it is literally "made of air". Hence, it can be understood that once the taking in of coarse nourishment has ceased, the being's purely earthly, physical condition will be of quite a different and far more beautiful and less physical nature than the one known today. In addition to this, that same being's dependence on the laws of mammals concerning birth and bodily construction has long since ended, in that its physical body, as we shall see later, is built up and maintained by thought-concentration. This means that by an extraordinary ability to materialize and dematerialize which permits the being to create its own physical body from surplus "psychic fluids" or "spiritual emanations" belonging to certain other fellow beings, the process of propagation or re-birth becomes a form of incarnating in these "psychic materials". Through the incarnating being's powers from its talent-kernels for bodily creation, the aforesaid "psychic forces" become so suitably condensed physically, and of such a nature, that they now become a physical organism for that being.
      As the true human being's organism exists of condensed "psychic fluids" and this condensation is maintained by thought-concentration alone, then it can just as easily be dissolved by thought-concentration. The physical visibility of that same being will therefore depend entirely on an act of will. In other words, the fairy story about making oneself "invisible" now becomes reality. However, it must be added that this extensive mastery of matter whereby the being is able to free itself from it to a corresponding degree, is only in its first beginnings in the case of the true human being and will not reach culmination until the fifth kingdom of the spiral. What is now known within terrestrial man's community as "materialization" and "dematerialization" is just the beginning of evolving towards that way of incarnating.
