As we find ourselves in the natural abode of thought itself here in the super-terrestrial worlds, meaning that all the details of such worlds are the beings' thoughts and mental activities and no kind of condensed matter exists through which thoughts have to be manifested in order to become visible, then the conscious life of those beings will act directly on the senses of their fellow beings. So when it is possible with one's own mental body in a direct way to sense or experience the mental activities of one's fellow beings, there is no need to have the details of those activities "explained" through cumbersome physical words in "writing" or "speech". This latter method is absolutely necessary in the zone which is the abode of terrestrial man, but in the "divine world" it would represent a stage of evolution passed so long ago that in comparison with the usual natural form of mutual communication among the beings there, it would be just as primitive as fish in the ocean communicating among themselves compared with terrestrial people's conversation and their related possibilities of understanding. So, to describe to terrestrial man the possibilities of mutual communication between the inhabitants of the "divine world" could perhaps be figuratively expressed as being as difficult a task as explaining to fish Man's extensive methods of communication and his talent for writing and speaking. Therefore readers should understand that the interpretation of the divine worlds which I have begun here is extremely elementary and cannot in any way be an adequate expression for the transcendent perfection and brilliance of love in these worlds which in reality is permeating the whole Universe. Indeed, I can only interpret here those realities which are a direct consequence of the factual course of evolution in the terrestrial zone. To diverge from this limitation would be to include realities of which only very faint reflections are found here on Earth, indeed, so faint that from them no strong enough evidence could be built up to convince a terrestrial person. Moreover, a report of that kind would be of such a highly cosmic nature that it would be impossible for such a person to understand it and consequently impossible to document it as knowledge. Such a report would only appear to exist as a beautiful, but apparently unreal fairy tale, which could give the basis for a new religious creed.
      But people can no longer live by faith. Now their emancipation has to be based on absolute knowledge alone. Therefore I am obliged to limit my account of the heavenly worlds to those areas which can be proved to be the direct mathematical consequence of terrestrial man's existence and of his life and history at present. Consequently, as mentioned before, more will be said about those worlds in coming chapters of "Livets Bog", but they will only contain matters which can be proved within terrestrial man's personal experience to be incontestable, mathematical links in the eternal cycle of the Universe. And so following this intention, I shall continue with my outline about the mutual communication between beings in the fifth spiral kingdom, that is, in the highest divine sphere.
