377. First and foremost one must learn to understand that in the "divine world" the force of gravity is perceived in quite another way than here in the physical world where the wholly dominating factor is what we know as "weight".
Every object "weighs' something and has its place in physical existence according to its weight.
The most highly condensed materials, that is to say, those which are concentrated in the smallest possible space, are heavier than those which are distributed over the widest possible area.
Heavy materials thus form the basis, or, in the true meaning of the word, the "foundation' of the lighter ones.
Of course, as condensation of matter is based on "feeling-energy" there must be more feeling-energy in heavy materials than in light ones.
But as "feeling' is actually a mental energy, that is to say, an expression of consciousness, and this again can only exist by the power of the "will' and the "will' is again the same as desire, so it becomes obvious that the weight of matter, its degree of condensation or dilution, is a definition of a corresponding degree of desire, which means a corresponding degree of "volition", that is, of "will".
It thus emerges as a fact that heavy granite in the depths of the earth and the light cloud in the sky are both products of a living being's wishes, they are an act of will expressed by a "son of God".
The variations in physical matter around us, such as the formation of planets, the radiant communities of suns, the nebulae or milky-ways in micro-cosmos as well as in macro-cosmos and all that is discovered within them in these times, constitute expressions of conscious functioning based upon a mental life or "thinking' which is just as natural and inevitable as our own heartbeat or blood circulation.
Everything that is, is consciousness.
In truth, those eternal words: "And the spirit of God moved over the face of the waters" can now be realized by the living being as a reality, as scientific fact and as true knowledge.
