384. If terrestrial man were suddenly to wake up to such an existence, he would notice that he no longer had a heavy physical body. He would vibrate with a permanent, unwavering and fascinating youthful freshness and "joie de vivre" The form and colour of his organism would change according to his thought or his wish and would shine with all colours of the rainbow. He would shimmer and sparkle with a metallic lustre just as the light of the sun. He would be capable of producing an immense range of sounds, from the reverberating crack of thunder coming after lightning, down to the cricket's finest little symphonies coming from its inborn natural harp. The changing nature of his own organism according to the command of his wishes, would quickly provide such a terrestrial visitor to this heavenly sphere with proof of eternal life. Nothing of a "daily" nature exists here. Everything has eternal radiance. Everything would express, or bear witness to, his powerful might as God's own son, as the lord of time and of space.
      His infinitely perfect mode of thought and behaviour, his enormous superiority over matter, his absolute freedom from weight or form would engender between him and his surroundings a communication which in every respect would become a hymn of praise and love, in worship of the eternal Godhead manifested in the enthralling brilliance of heavenly matter.
      As a visitor to the highest world he would now be able to express and communicate directly his interest and sympathy with the fullness of his heart. He would no longer be bound to express his thoughts only by the indirect earthly methods. His demonstrations of sympathy or "baring his soul" would no longer have to be registered by a series of phonetic sounds or written symbols. He would no longer express himself as a being bound and buried in the strait-jackets of solid matter which constitute the organisms for representing the "killing principle" in the unintellectual zones of the spiral. Now he is a heavenly being who allows the entire form and colour, light and volume of his organism to assume a perfectly adjusted sympathetic aspect towards the one he wishes to caress. This being does not embrace with the hands or show sympathy just with a pair of smiling dimples or other agreeable facial folds, but caresses with the whole of his soul and spirit.
      As he is one with his neighbour, he has nothing to hide, nothing to suppress or conceal from him, but enfolds him wholly and directly in the glory of his love. This is all the easier for him because the neighbour is, of course, also radiating perfect love. As we shall come back to later on, no being of any kind, whether animal or human, can pass through the "divine world" in any other way than by the power of love. Albeit the flame in certain creatures is not very big, for a tiger surely cannot have the same fount of love in its consciousness as a world redeemer; however, its tiny flame is an absolute condition for it to be here. Animal natures have to be left behind in the realms of darkness. No one can enter here, the "divine world", without wearing "wedding garments". A terrestrial being who has been admitted here as a visitor will therefore experience even more wonderment. Not only does he himself appear in all the purity of innocence, that is, totally cleansed of egoism, but everyone he sees appears in corresponding purity. But his surprise will know no bounds when he begins to realize that nearly all the people he sees or meets there in the divine world are old acquaintances from the earthly zone, friends – and also enemies! He discovers that these people, too, are visitors in the highest world. But if his surprise is great, his joy will be a thousand times even greater when he discovers that not only is he being met with the love of old friends, but that also the warmest sympathy shines towards him from his enemies.
      What has become of all the hate and enmity? Indeed, it was exactly that which did not belong to the "wedding garments" and therefore had to be left behind at the entrance to the "divine world". And do all terrestrial beings enter the divine world? Yes, the whole of physical reincarnation is based entirely upon having been a visitor to that world. Between physical lives or existences the beings pass through the spiral's higher worlds in order to be led back again to birth in the physical world. But all such terrestrial beings are distinguishable from the natural or usual inhabitants of the "divine world" in that they do not have their "home" in that world but are only visitors while still belonging in the physical world, that is the animal kingdom.
