Livets Bog, vol. 2
The "being in bliss" has "run the course" and sees suffering from "God's own viewpoint".
400. But how dazzlingly brilliant this "reunion" is with the past! Over this beautiful zone in the spiral there is a glitter as in a fairy tale. All memories here – indeed even the darkest – are relived as immensely glorious and surpass even the memories from the so recently experienced highest sphere or "divine world". For it must not be forgotten that the individual's satiation with that world is still dominant to a high degree.
For the usual inhabitants of the "kingdom of bliss" their sojourn there is a complete reliving of all foregoing events in the kingdoms of the spiral. But none of these experiences are "new" as are happenings in the "outside world", yet on the other hand an exceptionally strong happiness is created in reliving them. There is not the slightest experience here to which there is attached any form whatsoever of earthly darkness, such as bitterness or hatred towards anything or anybody. Recollections of suicide or crimes cannot create even the smallest form of that atmosphere of uneasiness which pervades everything and everybody here in the terrestrial sphere. It must be remembered that "beings in bliss" are all those who have recently been staying in the very zone of God and have experienced abundantly the divine holiness and purity of His countenance, in other words the absolute perfection of the Universe with all its unshakeable, minutely fine-drawn laws of justice which again are synonymous with culminating intellectuality and love. Such beings still retain the Godhead's expression "in His image after His likeness" within their day-consciousness. They are still "one with the Father". They have "completed the course" – that is to say, they have lived through the whole of life's cycle and thus experienced the Godhead's total purpose behind darkness and suffering. They have experienced the extreme consequences of suffering and know that this is what actually constitutes the gateway to the "kingdom of heaven".
Without going through the darkness it would be impossible to create an experience of light. "Beings in bliss" have thus acquired God's own view of the true mission of suffering and know that it constitutes the very foundation for the existence of love. They see that light and darkness are equally indispensable realities in guiding the Universe and in creating experience of life for living beings. And without this insight they would certainly never be "one with the Father". So with this realization of divine intellectuality and lucidity, cleansed of everything existing under the concept of stupidity and its faithful attendants, evil criticism and disapproval, these beings are now mature enough to view once more the vast panorama of their lives with all their phases, including just as many pits of sorrow and dark chasms as there are sunny peaks of happiness. Indeed, the living being's existence manifests as so divinely wise that the reliving of the cycle's darkest zone actually gives the strongest feelings of joy. And it is this very circumstance which guarantees that to relive that zone is identical with a "kingdom of bliss".
