401. It is on account of the beings' great satiation with the regions of light that they are drawn with irresistible strength towards the exact opposite of any experience in those regions. For the "beings in bliss" this contrast can only be found in memories of what they experienced in the dark zones of their spiral. For these beings this dark zone is somehow a more pleasant zone to recall than the higher world they have just left; darkness has begun to become as light for them. Their whole area of interest has thus become increasingly directed towards their own previous experiences of darkness. And how strange and yet splendid is the reliving of those previous experiences! The "being in bliss" is now examining his past fate in all the details of its continuous development, not just through one single, local, physical life but throughout a multitude of lives. He realizes their true cause and effect; he witnesses once again the all-commanding technique of love which brings about the manifestation of the Universe and all living beings. There in realistic, shining "gold-copies" every single detail survives from his previous existences in the spiral. And at his slightest wish or bidding, he views, marvelling, panorama after panorama from previous existences in moulded forms alive with sound and colour within this son of God's eternal "now". Imagine what this means! A "being in bliss" can even now, today, at the moment the reader reads these lines, go back through past decades, centuries, millennia, indeed through millions of years, and survey his own past sequence of activities in radiant, animated "gold-copies" throughout these immeasurable "regions" or "continents of time". From his exalted, untouchable cosmic stage, he experiences within the golden matter composing the "kingdom of bliss", the living "copies" of his own previous "jungle-existence", his stage as a "beast of prey" as well as his milder existence as a "plant-eating creature". He sees his own murderous pursuit of other beings as well as his own appearance as the victim of the same kind of murderous intentions from other beings. He lives through "copies" of his manifestation of the same brutish principle culminating in his later existence as a terrestrial man – or, one should say, in this case as an embryo "human being". Certainly not all "beings in bliss' have been as "terrestrial man", although all of them have had to go through those primitive stages that at the present time cause terrestrial man to be only an "embryo' of the "true human being".
      As already described, the "being in bliss' sees in the panorama of the past his corresponding previous existences culminating in murderously brutal and war-like tendencies. He sees how he has lost organism after organism as the victim of hate and persecution by his fellow beings and how this hate came as an effect, caused by his own all too great eagerness and willingness to further death, war and mutilation among those fellow beings. Moreover, he relives the whole of his sexual life in all its phases throughout all periods of the current spiral. He sees his own excesses and their effects on subsequent lives. He sees how, through his vices, he has destroyed one physical body after another and thereby has made the talent-kernels in his higher consciousness defective, thus nullifying over whole periods of time his ability to build new physical bodies in a normal form. And from this he sees further in the "gold-copies' how he has been forced to live for long periods in defective and abnormal bodies, appearing to those around him in that correspondingly defective or abnormal condition we call "insane", "mentally handicapped" or some other form of psycho-physical deficiency. He also realizes how bearing these very defects had brought about a certain immunity in his higher consciousness from those vices and excesses which were the true causes of his defects, so that after his cure, or regaining of normal abilities, he could appear once more as a reformed character, indeed, occasionally as a model example or an ideal person for his fellow beings.
