The "being in bliss" sees how animal methods of fighting are developed to a level of genius promoting the principle, "everyone for himself". This forms the basis for the existence of "hell" - the "killing principle". "Hell" creates its own demise in the individual's consciousness so that the "true human being" becomes a reality and life takes on a form that lies outside the sphere of interest of the "being in bliss" due to its experience of satiation with it in the "divine world".
404. But even if divine forces, that is to say, the higher basic energies in the spiral such as feeling and intelligence, are the basis of this "abnormality", the results of this are not revealed immediately as the imminent approach of a heavenly kingdom.
On the contrary, a being cannot so quickly rid himself of the animal-like habits of consciousness, transmitted through thousands of years and inherited from numerous previous lives.
As this latter form of mentality is founded on "might" and not on "right", the "being in bliss" now sees in his memory-world the supreme triumph of this type of consciousness.
By means of his advanced physical talents, leading to a wide range of abilities, this embryo of an advanced human creature is now bringing his remaining animal tendencies to a fiery culmination.
As this being has not yet managed to develop any special degree of high intellectuality, that is to say, any real knowledge about the morality of love in the Universe, then his moral sense can only be that which expresses itself as "every man for himself".
So it is obvious that with this kind of attitude all his creativity and manifestation of genius can only be on behalf of expanding or developing aggressive, animal-like methods which are again intended to further the satisfaction of his own egoistic desires.
As such desires run in the direction of wealth, honour and fame in order that their originator may be feted and idolized by admiring fellow beings, then there arises a basis for envying, hating and persecuting like-minded and thus "contesting" fellow beings.
The "being in bliss" sees further how this condition eventually becomes universally prevalent and builds the foundation for that period of terror, death and dissolution known to us as "hell", which again has its result in the degeneration of the "killing principle' in the being's consciousness and thereby brings to light as a fact his identity and his birth as a "true human being".
At this point that special concentration of the "being in bliss" on his own "inner world" comes to an end, for now begins that perfection, that beautiful existence of all things pleasant with which he has become thoroughly satiated during his recently completed stay in the "divine kingdom".
We must remember that the reliving of the lower zones of the spiral by the "being in bliss" is actually based to a great extent on the contrast between such zones and the abundantly light heavenly world which he has just left on account of his complete satiation with that same world.
