408. An advanced "being in bliss" has, as explained above, no special outwardly conscious function in the "outside world".
He is only concentrating on his previous experiences of primitiveness as now relived in the form of "gold-copies".
As also mentioned above, these resuscitations of experiences are rich enjoyment for the "being in bliss", precisely on account of the fact that they constitute such a dominant contrast to the high standard of intellectuality and freedom with which the being has been so inordinately satiated during his sojourn through the "divine world".
That this satiation has had great effect is shown by the fact that the being's altered attitude of mind might be defined as a provisionally unquenchable longing for darkness and primitiveness, a longing for an existence in condensed and solid forms of life, a longing to be able to satisfy himself in the flesh and blood of fellow beings and to indulge in hate, murder and bodily mutilation.
In fact, these longings represent all the forces within the panorama of the "dark radiation" which actually will not reach real culmination or the manifestation of genius, until quite far on in those stages of the spiral where terrestrial man is to be found at this time.
Obviously a "being in bliss" cannot present these drastic inclinations and murderous longings in any strength while still in the "kingdom of bliss" itself.
At that point this kingdom is really far too close to the "divine world", God's own sphere; besides, the special combination of the basic energies in this part of the spiral is in itself much too great an obstacle for the existence of such a primitive form of being.
In the "kingdom of bliss", therefore, this longing is only in its first weak beginnings.
But gradually as the "being in bliss" becomes more and more absorbed in the details of his former aeons of time there develops the desire to be able to practise his former activities and modes of life in newer realistic methods and variations.
But this cannot be done in the "inner world" of the "kingdom of bliss".
Only repetitions of events which have already happened can take place here.
This would therefore gradually becomes too cramped for the being's increasing desire to practise "new creation".
And through the power of this longing the being gradually bursts asunder the bounds of the "kingdom of bliss" in his consciousness.
And from his fate-element, in the form of talent-kernels, or "seeds", hidden powers of ability begin to germinate.
As these powers of ability constitute the habitual mentality of a being in former existences in the "outside world", they will express themselves here as independent functions of consciousness in matter lying outside his day-consciousness in the "kingdom of bliss".
As his longing – which actually constitutes the factor for releasing those functions – is not directed towards an existence in the spiral's highest worlds on account of his satiation with them, then it is the talent-kernels, the powers of ability for manifestation in the spiral's unintellectual zones, which become awakened.
Of course, these powers still represent only abilities for manifesting in those materials which are bordering closest to the spiral's highest worlds.
Consequently, there is as yet no question of any physical manifestation.
An individual's function in the "outside world" of the "kingdom of bliss" is still of a spiritual kind.
