413. In reliving events of his past existences in the spiral, the "being in bliss" experiences "beatitude", that is to say "ecstasy" or a greatly enhanced feeling of happiness. This enhanced feeling of happiness has the further mission or purpose of stimulating the "seeds of creativity" or "talent kernels" which the being generated in previous zones.
      On account of the strength of this happiness there commences a functioning of the "talent-kernels" which have actually been stored in the "fate element" of the individual's higher consciousness. The mental forces encased within the "talent-kernels" are now released and a creation begins, fully analogous with that which takes place in the seed of a plant when it begins to sprout, or with the formation of an embryo which occurs in a mother's womb after fertilization. And just as the development of a seed or an embryo comes about on the basis of automatic functioning or "C knowledge", so too the functions of consciousness of a "being in bliss" come about automatically in the "outside world", that is, by virtue of "C knowledge".
      The energies of "bliss" or "ecstasy" are transmitted further through the subconsciousness of the beings in question and bring the "talent-kernels" from the now out-lived primitive spiral zones to a point of growth and development. Thus, around these beings who are awake and day-conscious only in their "inner world" there gradually takes place a somewhat extensive energy-function in the "outside world". This "outside" functioning of energy is released automatically in the beginning of a creation of bodies or organisms through which, by degrees, the I's are enabled to sense within the physical world.
      That which we call the "mineral kingdom" is thus an immense ocean of I's automatically beginning to create bodies promoting the ability to experience physical existence. These automatic spiritual forces emanating from the beings' physical "talent-kernels" constitute collectively what is called here in "Livets Bog" "instinct-energy", the first of the important basic energies of life. In its first stages this function of energy is still invisible to physical sight, but through its radiation it immediately connects with the next of the important basic energies, "gravity-energy". This latter energy, by its very nature, is also invisible to physical sight, but on account of its combination with "instinct-energy" the initial stage of physical matter is brought into being. But, as we shall return to later, this matter still exists as simply radiation or wave formations only, and so it would not be visible to the physical eye if it were not for the fact that precisely the combination of the energies of "bliss", "instinct' and "gravity' are met by resistance from life's, or the spiral's, third important basic energy – "feeling". The reaction to this resistance becomes visible in its first stage as a "permanent explosion", which means as a chain of microscopic explosions. This chain is in the form of what is known as "fire" and is synonymous with the very first forms of visible physical matter.
