422. It is obvious by a matter of course that the above applies equally to our own organism.
Without the energy from the sun (sexual energy) it would certainly be impossible to experience physical existence.
But here the ordinary person does not actually see solar energy as physical light in the organism; it is only perceived mentally.
What is really meant by completely "falling in love"?
Is it not the very mobilization of procreative energies?
And is it not showing energies of longing from the "kingdom of bliss" which are being released when the love affair runs its course and results in sexual intercourse and consequent offspring?
Is it not so that the entrance of this offspring into the physical world, its embryonic state and the rest of its physical development, is based on the unfolding of the talent-kernels, in other words the energies of longing transformed into automatic function?
As an automatic function can only be identical with "A" knowledge and "B" knowledge, which again constitutes previous awake day-conscious thought and action, then that offspring will have had such a previous existence with awake day-consciousness in which the longing in question was able to arise.
That this could not have come about in a physical world is made obvious by the fact that, in such a case, the longing itself could not have arisen, for we do not long for things we already possess, for naturally such possession or ownership is, in itself, a fulfilment of that longing.
Thus it becomes obvious here too, that the energies of that offspring must have been awake and day-conscious in a world which was not physical.
As stated in "Livets Bog", the world in question is the "kingdom of bliss".
This again means that any future offspring is now actually day-conscious in the "kingdom of bliss", which is the same as its world of memory.
In this day-conscious state, its ecstatic reaction to the experiences of the "gold-copies" from its previous physical existence thus gives rise to a longing to return to the physical world.
This longing, in conjunction with the ecstatic energy stimulates the talent-kernels.
This stimulation, or enlivening process, causes a vibration of energy which can get in contact with the energies of "instinct" and "gravity" in the outward surroundings.
These outward "instinct-" and "gravity-energies" are produced and adapted by already physically incarnated beings through the culmination of their energy of "being in love" – that is through sexual intercourse.
Should this intercourse result in fertilization it means that the automatic function of a discarnate being has found a foothold in physical material and creation.
The consequence of this is the physical conception of an embryo in its mother's womb.
And with this embryo's development to the stage of being born, the discarnate being in this way once again enters the physical world.
This process is thus, in its absolute sense, a "process of sunshine".
The energies in question are absolutely the same as those which are released through physical sunshine, only with the difference that in physical sunshine they are macrocosmic, while when manifested in our own organism they are microcosmic.
But common to them all, albeit each in their own spiral, is the fact that they constitute the energies of longing from the "kingdom of bliss", transmuted into a physical automatic function.
