Livets Bog, vol. 2
The fire of disincarnated beings and conception. Science knows only a third of the cycle of life.
427. It is, of course, obvious that this fire is of a rather different character than the powerfully concentrated fire in a stove. And neither is the "gill-like" or "fish-like" stage which the being repeats later in the embryo state quite the same as the existence of a fish with gills living in the waters of the ocean outside the sphere of an egg or a uterus. It is only in principle that the "fire" of a discarnate being and the fire in a furnace are the same. The physical appearance of a discarnate being's fire has, over time, become of quite another "wave-length". And this is only to the good, for were it otherwise it would be totally impossible for animal beings to exist on Earth. The discarnate beings' "fire" would keep the Earth in a state of flaming incandescence; no kind of physical life and therefore no experience of physical awake day-consciousness would be possible for any being. But although this fire, unlike that of a discarnate globe-being's fire, is not so physically recognizable as the fire in a hot stove, it is, however, powerful enough to influence, or affect, the aura of incarnated beings and in this way unite with the sexual energies of those beings, and – as will be shown later in "Livets Bog" – bring about fertilization and maintain the survival of the species.
This whole scale of repetition which animal beings here on Earth represent during the formation of their organisms, constitutes for the advanced investigator fairly thorough evidence for that stretch of life from when the beings leave the "kingdom of bliss" up to their present animal existence. The first reaction that arises from living beings' incipient longings for physical existence is, as mentioned before, identical with all those unseen forces which come under the concept of "electricity". As yet, science itself does not know what electricity is. Only its effects are known, but science has still not been able to bring to light an actual explanation of its nature. In the same way science can never in any way be in a position to present the true analysis of electricity as long as only one third of the area of the spiral is known, and not the whole cycle of life itself. And it is obvious that this knowledge is quite inadequate and insufficient, in fact totally devoid of any realistic overall analysis.
