Symbol No. 9 expresses an eternal answer and is therefore not a relative phenomenon. When science denies the existence of the Godhead or the identity of the Universe as a living being, and the immortality of living beings.
439. The analysis we have achieved in the present section and through Symbol No. 9
has expressed an absolutely entire analysis of the matter in question.
We see in broad outlines how all the basic energies of the world and the Universe merge into an interplay which constitutes a perfectly logical link in an eternal continuity.
Our analysis is thus an eternal solution, that is to say a solution which can never be otherwise.
Symbol No. 9, then, is not expressing merely a relative solution, but a physical demonstration of that combination of the Universe's principle laws which, in their nature, have never had a beginning and likewise can never cease to exist, laws which differ from all other laws in existence, in that they are not the result of previous reasoning, but constitute eternal realities.
They form the plant, animal and mineral structure of the Godhead itself.
They are the principle factors in the Godhead's actual body and consciousness and if only for that reason, must be eternal and unshakeable.
If this were not the case, the Godhead would have had a beginning, and anything which has a beginning is a temporal entity, and as a temporal entity can exist only as the result of a previous cause, then such a Godhead would have to be seen as synonymous with an effect of something previous.
But then again, anything which is an effect of something previous is clearly a "created thing".
And in this way the Godhead would have to be a "created thing".
And, moreover, this "created thing" would have to differ from all other "created things" in the world in having come about without a "creator".
In other words this "created thing" must consequently have created itself.
But how should it have been able to do that?
Before it was created it did not exist, and if it did not exist, it could not possibly have created itself.
Something which does not exist is simply "nothing".
And to have "nothing" as a basis for a picture of the world or of the Universe has no worth for a thinking person.
For such a basis is completely devoid of logic.
It is this attitude which is held by terrestrial science to one hundred per cent – and indeed will remain one hundred percent so, albeit unconsciously – and will continue to be, as long as it rejects the existence of a Godhead, that is, a Universe whose identity is a living being, and the immortality of all beings.
A world-picture which rests upon such a denial inevitably points back to an absolute "nothing" as its initial solution and is thus in itself the opposite of actual reality.
It is the culmination of untruth and superstition and therefore temporal and perishable.
It does not constitute any kind of eternal elucidation, and is devoid of any mathematical or scientific validity.
