That this correspondence with Providence is far from perfect at the present stage of terrestrial man, is just what "cosmically-born" beings – that is to say beings who have already experienced the "great birth" – can see as a fact every day, for they themselves understand the divine way of "speaking" to mankind. And from the responses given to Providence by these latter beings the former beings obtain an exceptionally good basic insight into the latter's misunderstanding of the divine Father's caring approach to them. They see how mankind's experience of the Divine "speaking" – which in reality is the culmination of both love and high intellect, meaning a consciousness unfolding in a tone of harmony between feeling and intelligence – is not once even recognized as a being "talking". Mankind still considers this "language" to be merely the sport of the blind forces of Nature, as a casual, sometimes even a diabolical all-destroying display of power which, terror-stricken, they either escape from or struggle against. And where they are actually able to see individuals causing these demonstrations of power, that is to say when the latter are the manifestations of animals and people, then they still do not see that the Almighty Father alone is behind everything. And this misunderstanding of that divine love culminates just here and these beings' zone of existence constitutes the darkest in the whole spiral. Beings in this zone live, therefore, in a permanent misinterpretation of existence, the eternal Father, and life itself. When they do meet cosmic love they often misunderstand the situation so completely that they tear and bite at the hand which caresses; they wound, desecrate and often murder the very beings who specially represent the Father's radiant countenance, just as they often practise torture on the only beings through whom the Father would be able to help them.
      As everything and everybody constitutes a tool of the heavenly Father's mentality or manifestation, then any action aimed against anything or anybody is thus synonymous with an action aimed against the Godhead. In their ignorance and misunderstanding, the beings mentioned thus employ torture, murder and mutilation directly against that divine Consciousness in which they live and move and have their being.
      It is naturally a matter of course that such micro-beings can only live in an atmosphere of battlefields, sorrow and suffering. And it is also obvious that they cannot possibly escape from such a zone as long as they perpetuate that kind of life in their surroundings. One cannot exterminate something by propagating it.
