499. We have now seen a living being's entire sensory range as perceived by "cosmic consciousness". In order to understand more easily any future analyses of this sensory range here in "Livets Bog", we shall describe its different areas with specific names or definitions. As touched on previously, that this whole range exists at all is due entirely to that cosmic principle we have called the "principle of perspective". As the form, colour, size and mass of the various details in that range is due to the question of perspective, we will call that part of the sensory range which constitutes, or appears as "dark" or a "zone of darkness", "perspective A", while that part of the same range which constitutes the zone of colour will be called "perspective B" and the part of the same zone which constitutes the "zone of light", "perspective C".
      Everything which we sense or perceive in existence appearing with a "black" colour, or everything which we perceive as "dark" (to this also belongs all that we feel as sorrow, melancholy or depression) we are actually experiencing through "perspective A". Everything we are able to see appearing with colour and all we can analyse and turn into beliefs and knowledge, we are experiencing through "perspective B". And all we perceive in the form of "white" or in the form of "light" we are experiencing through "perspective C" (to this also belongs everything which more or less is described as joy and happiness).
