With regard to the "fate-element", the organ or body of the super-consciousness, although it is certainly maintained by the seventh basic energy, this is only on account of this energy's intimate cooperation with the six other basic energies. In the "fate-element" there is actually a centre for each of the six basic energies. It is in these centres that the "primordial desire" comes in contact with the basic energies, and brings about their organisation. This organisation reveals itself in the form of an eternal and continual rhythmic movement. This means that the contact of the "primordial desire" with the basic energy concerned, through each of the aforementioned centres, gradually becomes "strengthened" or "weakened". So this contact thus appears at a "minimum expression" and a "maximum expression". Whenever this contact appears at its "minimum expression", the I's juggling with that basic energy is latent, while it always culminates where this meeting is at its "maximum expression". And here we meet the basis for the fact that the living being's experience of life and existence is formed as a "spiral". In "Livets Bog" these centres will therefore be called "spiral-centres". It is these that make the living being, in its manifestation and experience of life, appear as an "instinct-being" (plant), "gravity-being" (animal and terrestrial man), "feeling-being" (true human being), "intelligence-being", "intuition-being" and "bliss-being", of which the last three life-forms are completely beyond the physical in character and constitute the necessary contrast to all physical existence.
