566. These seven fundamental solutions have made it clear to the investigator that he constitutes a "triune principle". "Matter" or "substance" reveal themselves to him as "cause" and "effect". As this expression of cause and effect was logical or planned, it revealed "thought" or "creation" and demonstrated as a fact the presence of a "creative faculty". But as a "creative faculty" cannot possibly exist independently, but only in connection with a "something" – of which it constitutes a characteristic quality – then the presence of this "something" in life is also confirmed as an irrefutable fact. These three principles: "matter" or "substance", the "creative faculty" and the "something" – of which the "creative faculty" is a characteristic – are already known here in "Livets Bog" under the corresponding terms, "X3", "X2" and "X1". These principles cannot exist independently or separately, but only in an unbreakable state of dependency on each other. If "X3" or "that which is created" did not exist, then the I would be completely excluded from being able to sense and create, and its presence would thereby remain unmanifested, and its existence could never provide for recognition. It would have to appear as "something" which could not sense, create or experience. And without manifestation, the investigator – and indeed any other living being – would be no more than an eternal "nothing", which once again is the opposite of what is actually the case. This "triune principle" is the basic solution No. 8 to the mystery of life.
