If the basic solution to the mystery of life No. 7 did not exist.
581. That the "I" or the "Self" is the "primary cause" of its own manifestation as a "living being" also reveals the seventh basic element of life's mystery as being an unwavering advantage. If the "Self" or the "I" did not exist, then any form of "individuality" and thereby of a "living being" would be an impossibility. But as "matter" can exist only as a combination of effects set in motion by the "I's" or the "Selves" it would, without their collaboration, likewise be an impossibility. But a life without "living beings" and without "substance" or "matter" is no "life". It is, and can never in any case be anything other than, an eternal "nothing".
