Livets Bog, vol. 2
What makes the basic solution to the mystery of life No. 11 an unquestionable advantage.
585. Living beings are an eternal reality and thus survive their temporal or created manifestations and in this way can gradually harvest experience or knowledge of these effects caused by themselves; they can accumulate this knowledge in their "super-consciousness" from where in a later life or existence they can experience it as identical with their own abilities, talents or skills through which they therefore become the radiant source of their own individual fates. All of this can only confirm that the eleventh basic element of life's mystery is of inestimable advantage. Just imagine if the opposite were the case! Imagine how things would be if "reincarnation" or "re-birth" were not an actual fact! How could there ever be any "justice" – that is to say, absolute "equality" for all living beings in the Universe?
To deny that there is such "equality" for all living beings would be the same as to think of the Universe as presenting a less logical and less perfect manifestation or revelation than that which is actually the case. An organization of the Universe in which all beings are "equal", which taken literally means that they have access to the same advantages, have the same experiences and thus come to know the same things and grow to be the same, is certainly more perfect than a construction of the Universe in which the beings did not have access to the same things and therefore could not come to the same knowledge and consequently could never grow to be the same. In this latter form of the Universe's manifestation, everlasting injustice would be all-dominant. There would be beings with enormous privileges, both physical and mental, and there would be beings who would have to be martyrs. The less talented or the weakest equipped individuals in life would have to be the servants or slaves of Nature as well as of their fellow beings. In such a Universe there would be a dominant atmosphere of martyrdom, while it would be totally absent from a Universe of the former construction where the creation or experience of injustice could not possibly be manifested. It would be impossible to obtain privileges just as it would be out of the question for any being to "lose his rights" or to be destroyed. The atmosphere of this Universe could only be one of culminating "love".
