That a piece of matter has a certain degree of density, that an object has a certain lifespan, that something moves at a certain speed are merely expressions of a mutual relationship between matter or energy. The fact that our present organism can be documented as being the effect of a sexual act between our parents also expresses merely a certain combined relationship between energies. This documentation can constitute only an acknowledgment of the effects of energy. A "child" therefore constitutes a sexual act's effects of energy. It is simply a combination of energies set in motion or initiated by the sexual act. What we express as a "child" cannot constitute an answer in terms of life. It is an answer in terms of weights and measures. As the "cause" of the "child" consists of the sexual act, and this in turn can be only a combined relationship between energies or substances, the sexual act will also constitute the degree of an effect or an answer in terms of weights and measures. When analysed, the sexual act can express only a combination of energy and cannot therefore constitute an answer in terms of life either. The "cause" of the sexual act is, as we know, the "parents". But what are the "parents"? In reality they each constitute merely the combination of energy or matter that we call the "child", but in an advanced state. They each constitute merely combinations of matter or energy, whose origin also leads back to a "sexual act", which in turn leads back to "parents" and so on. Each of the phenomena of the "parents", the "child" and the "sexual act" therefore constitutes in principle exactly the same thing, namely, a combination of energy, each one being merely a "created thing", something that is produced, and that can therefore never in any case be identical to the "producer". What we call "parents", "children", "human beings", "animals", "plants" and the like are each expressions of particular combinations of energy, particular degrees of effects. The term "parents" will therefore in reality be only an expression with which we acknowledge a certain manifestation of energy, a certain created phenomenon, in exactly the same way as we, with the term "sunshine", express a certain combination of matter or release of energy. Whether we say "human beings", "animals", "plants", or we say "mineral", "earth", "air", "water" and "ice", we are in reality expressing with each of these expressions merely the name of a certain combination of energy. These names are merely degrees of the effects of energy; they are answers in terms of weights, measures or volume and as such therefore express absolutely dead answers, in that they are the expressions of only "created things" and are not in one single case an expression of the "creator" or the "living", "thinking" origin of the logic without which the created things in question would never have been manifested and today experienced as assertive fact.
