And we can now see in this organism's particular structure and its value as a tool that it constitutes a link in a scale.It shows itself in fact to be more or less perfect in relation to other organisms.There are therefore beings that have far better and more perfect organisms than this being, just as there are beings that have organisms that are far below it in perfection.So, if we take a look at all the physical organisms that are accessible to the senses, we are able to observe a scale of organisms rising from imperfection to perfection.On this scale every living being's organism will represent one stage or another.But if the organisms in this way represent a rising scale of perfection, it must be a fact that any single organism cannot be an expression of a fulfilled or completed goal in the creation of this organism's idea or plan.But as it does not express the whole manifestation or final objective of an idea or plan and therefore expresses only a small fraction of it, it must equally be a fact that this idea or plan is a phenomenon that can be fully manifested only through not just one but only many successive organisms.With every organism this plan or idea is thus carried further and further until it has become totally completed or has reached its ultimate goal, that is to say, until it has reached its culmination in the perfection of its creation.
