726. We have therefore seen that the ideals of the greatest prophets and world redeemers do not only still hold; they are becoming ever more radiant. That there are certain human beings who label as superstition and naivety the words and sayings that became channels for the ideals or beams of light into terrestrial mankind's mentality, does not alter the fact of the existence of the ideals or the light. It is perfectly obvious that the physical words that became the terminology for the light cannot "keep pace with the times". Human language does not stand still, but like everything else is subject to the laws of evolution or transformation. It is subject to "common practice" and "current trends". But the fact that a jewel is mounted in an old-fashioned setting does not reduce the true value of the jewel. The fact that the eternal light is wrapped in out-dated terminology cannot remove the radiant power it has already had over millions of hearts and minds. And all current religious quarrels, which in reality means all forms of war, are therefore fundamentally just a battle about the out-dated terminology or the setting and the linguistic clothing of the ideals or the light.
