Star figure no. 10 – Immortality
731. In the symbol's star field no.10 we see a triangle. As in the other star fields, this represents the living being. Around this triangle there is a figure in the form of a spiral. This expresses immortality or the being's eternal experience of existence. That this is symbolised as a figure in the form of a spiral is merely an indication that this eternal existence takes place in ever higher cycles. Of these we have most recently described rebirth, which must also be described as a cycle. Rebirth is a continuous returning of the being to physical existence and an equally continuous returning to spiritual existence. And it is precisely due to this alternating form of experience that the experience of life itself becomes identical to all other kinds of cycles in Nature, whether it be the twenty-four-hour cycle and the year cycle or the being's great cosmic spiral cycles, and that in this being's mentality or world of thoughts we come across "seasons", summer and winter, spring and autumn, cold and heat, day and night, morning and evening, just like in Nature outside, and that life is thereby revealed as being identical to everything and everyone, thereby proving it to be a fact that death constitutes merely an imaginary contrast to all consciousness. In truth, immortality is the characteristic of life or God's spirit in the beings that makes each and every one of them a master of eternity.
