The qualifications that enabled Christianity to become a perception of life on the basis of which the culture of humaneness could begin to emerge into the clear light of day
743. That Christianity is, nevertheless, such a divine force and has become such an enormous blessing for mankind as is the case, is due exclusively to the fact that human beings do not sense with intelligence alone, but within a certain area sense almost entirely with the help of an extremely dominant feeling.Christianity has, through its originators and supporters, given mankind such an enormous amount in the form of great cosmic answers that support justice and love, such as: "Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap"; "He shall render to every man according to his works, said the Lord of Sabaoth"; "Love thy neighbour as thy self" etc., which are all answers that are completely logically rooted in living reality and are outstanding objects of faith for beings that, due to their satiation with barbarism's primitive ways of living, have begun to hunger for humaneness. And it is because of this hunger for humaneness that Christianity has been able to connect with the beings' feeling attitudes and has become such a widespread authority in the field of religion as is the case, and especially so due to the fact that at an earlier stage the general population did not have a particularly well developed intelligence and therefore had to sense to an overwhelming extent with their feeling. The fact that they were not able to explain these fundamental answers in analyses based on intelligence or reason was no hindrance to their acceptance of Christianity. The longing for humaneness was so strongly on the increase in the beings that they accepted entirely emotionally the principles with their feeling and recognised that the reasoned explanation or analysis of the answers was something reserved for God alone. From here we have the origin of the saying "the ways of God are past finding out".And in this way one can understand that Christianity itself has had strong qualifications for becoming the longed-for perception of life, on the basis of which the culture of humaneness could begin to emerge into the clear light of day.
