753. But with the experience of such a lavish abundance of culminating intellectuality, both in regions of darkness as well as light, a living, real Godhead became even more of a fact for us. Without thought, will or consciousness, no intellectuality can be manifested. Intellectuality can exist only as a characteristic of consciousness. If the universe was not consciousness, every form of intellectuality in its manifestation would be absolutely impossible. In the solution to the mystery of life we met the actual, living, true Godhead and its particular expression of consciousness towards us, as well as our own answer in the form of a reflection of this expression. We experienced that our life was a personal communication with the Godhead. We formed the basis or the foundations that enables our communication with the Godhead, or what we call our fate, to begin to be a living, conscious conversation with our eternal Father, thus enabling our whole existence to become a conscious, personal association with him, entailing a living, mutual exchange of thoughts, which is just as personal and alive as that which takes place between an ordinary, physical father and son. We were given access to living personally together with the Godhead in a way that we are otherwise used to living only with our neighbour. The Godhead even became visible in flesh and blood, since we discovered that he was nothing other than our neighbour, and that his voice and his speech to us, his love, guidance and instructing us, as well as his entertaining us, can absolutely only manifest through our neighbour. What we therefore do to this neighbour, we do to the Godhead. If we make life difficult for this neighbour, we are making it difficult for the Godhead to fulfil our own wishes, longings and aims, since God can manifest this fulfilment only through our neighbour. Our neighbour is the Godhead's tool for manifestation, his organism, his physical sensory organs and consciousness.
      Once this became a living reality for us, the way out of darkness, which is in reality only our own ignorance, therefore became clear and thereby more easily accessible and extremely practicable. That we should love our neighbour as ourselves is something we did as a matter of course, as it was the only way in which we could come into real contact with the originator of the universe and show it our love. Our neighbour's senses are the absolutely only means by which the Godhead can sense or perceive our existence, wishes and longings. As already mentioned, what we do to our neighbour, we do to the Godhead. And what we do to the Godhead, he cannot avoid answering. The law of love works so profusely in the Godhead's own body that the handed-down truths, "whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" and "seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; ask, and it shall be given you" became scientific facts.
