776. With "satiation" a new manifestation of life emerges. When a wish has been fulfilled there is admittedly a "standstill" in the area in question, but the "primordial desire" is still in flames. It is like an eternally running stream that must have an outlet for its manifestation. And new forms of "hunger" are the impulses with which it clears its way through the subconsciousness towards matter. With the onset of "satiation" there is, as already mentioned, no longer any "hunger" in the area in question. And consequently, there will no longer be any attraction towards the matter that promotes "satiation" in that area. There is no longer any wish for it. But this reveals the wish for the opposite situation. And this wish is also a desire that hastens towards its satisfaction or fulfilment. The fulfilment of this wish can take place only through a "repulsion" of the energies or matter that the I was previously attracted to. This repulsion constitutes a removal of all the matter or substances that are unwanted by the being, and its most elementary physical manifestation is best known as the bodily, physical process we call "defecation". This is therefore not merely a physical, bodily phenomenon but, like "hunger" and "satiation", it is an expression of a great, comprehensive, general detail in life's declaration. It is in fact the expression of the very same principle that includes all forms of antipathy or hostility between living beings. It is the expression of the sewage system in every form of organisation and creation, and consequently also in the emergence of every form of culture and mentality. And this is of course the reason why we are including it here in our analysis. We cannot avoid what "stinks", for otherwise we would never be able to reveal the whole, real and absolute truth. Our series of analyses would express only a camouflaged description of reality or the analysis of life. In addition, the sewage system is also an absolute necessity in every form of hygiene and consequently in the creation of both mental and physical health. The "principle of defecation" is therefore, as shown here, the fourth detail in the very "material of life". And we will therefore express this detail as "life substance no. 4".
