781. The source of life is the same as "movement". Without "movement" there would be no life, no experience, no sensory perception. And here we can establish exactly where this "movement" begins. We can see that the I constitutes a "something" that is not "movement". And with this discovery we have established a zone that absolutely excludes "movement", and in which it has therefore never existed and never ever will exist. As this area or zone is the same as "X1", this part of the living being will therefore in itself be completely beyond experience, manifestation or creation. But this is also in agreement with our previous analyses, which show that the I cannot exist other than in connection with the other two principles, "X2" and "X3". It is this connection that determines its existence and appearance as a "living being".
      The next area in our search for the precise confirmation of the primary origin of the "source of life" or of "movement" itself must therefore be the next principle with which the I is connected, namely, "X2". The actual boundary between "X1" and "X2" is not very sharp or does not constitute an absolutely solid line. This boundary appears as subtle, indistinct transitional stages and, within this area, borders on zones that imperceptibly unite with the I, especially as this part, like the I, lies totally beyond any direct accessibility to sensory perception. It is only in the analysis of the subsequent details of the living being that this boundary can be indirectly documented and thereby become a fact to us.
