Everything within "X3" is therefore "movement", regardless of whether it constitutes what we with our senses would normally regard as such, or whether it constitutes what we call solid, liquid or gaseous substances, or whether it constitutes realities that we call mental phenomena or thought matter. The boundary between "life" itself and the "master of life" cannot therefore, as we have seen, exist in the area that constitutes the domain of "X3". And since "X1" also lies outside the "movement", we have to return to "X2" in order to discover the source of "movement". Here in the area between "X1" and "X3", in the domain of "X2", we have the very source of the fount of life. Here we meet the very first faint indications of "movement", which like one single tiny, weak bubbling spring issues forth from the bowels of the Earth to become a little stream, thereafter uniting with other streams until at last it becomes one with the great ocean of consciousness or "X3". The "bowels of the Earth" is in this case "X2". The "water" in the "spring" is "movement". And this is in turn, at this stage, the same as the "primordial desire".
      But if "movement" is to be found within the area of "X2", will not the area where "movement" takes place be the same as "X3"? No, it is not quite the same. Here the "movement" has a connection with "something" that is not "movement", and this connection is absolutely impossible within "X3". Here the "movement" can border only on other forms of "movement". It is true that we call these other forms of "movement" "substance" and "matter", both in the case of "living" as well as "lifeless" things, but that does not alter the fact that they all, without exception, constitute "movement". It therefore becomes evident that the "movement" can extend into an area where it does not border on any other kind of "movement". Such an area will therefore be quite different from the area that constitutes that which is directly accessible to sensory perception, and where absolutely everything can exist only as identical to "movement".
