876. This kingdom is in turn the "everlasting life" that Jesus proclaimed would be the inheritance of those who believe in him, that is to say, those who in the course of their lives on Earth have gradually trained themselves to practise neighbourly love and have lived a life of such intense practice of this love that such a way of life has now quite naturally become their daily nature, talent and character. These beings cannot avoid "the Helper, the Holy Spirit", the entry of which into their consciousness or mentality is the same as "cosmic consciousness". And as the individual through this cannot avoid experiencing in an awake, physical, day-conscious state its eternal existence behind the earthly lives, no greater fulfilment of the world redeemer's promise can befall any individual. No greater justification of the master's words: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live" can be manifested. Does this not make it apparent that he is the very incarnation of those very characteristics that reveal him as the perfect world redeemer? Is there not, in the flood of light from his words to human beings, an acknowledgement of his experience of the "Holy Spirit" or of his cosmic consciousness? Is there any other stronger way of saying to human beings: "I have experienced the 'resurrection', in other words, I have experienced being born anew, with my own awake, day-conscious, physical and mental senses, and I have thereby become one with it? But as I have become one with this rebirth – and have consequently been unable to avoid experiencing that the physical life on Earth is something that is repeated and is thus not the final or completed life but merely a detail or section of a life that continues eternally, and that the individual is therefore in reality in the midst of an eternal existence – I too cannot avoid being one with this everlasting life. But if the existence of this eternal life is thus a fact, it is inevitable that those beings who believe in my statements and therefore follow my instructions concerning how, by fulfilling the law of "neighbourly love", they can develop the refined and pure senses through which the experience of this eternal life takes place, will also reach the same state of cosmic experiencing as that which I have already reached, and will therefore, like me, see in physical day-consciousness their own eternal existence". Is there a more perfect way of "inheriting" this "eternal life"? Does this not make it clear that "even though one dies, one nevertheless sees that one still lives"? Does this not give us a completely clear view of how the world redeemer's words are the truth and completely analogous with what life itself is revealing to the advanced researcher in the form of spiritual science or the cosmic analyses in "Livets Bog"?
