885. It was not so surprising that the world redeemer gave his serious warning: "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you". In this we are also given confirmation of the biblical warning: "Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall". Does it not become clear that the being that condemns a being to "hell" or "eternal damnation" on account of disbelief is already a "fallen" being? In judging the non-believer, it argues with the sun and the moon and goes against the course of life itself. Such a being brings no light to a church nor any credit to a temple. It is quite unaware that doubt and disbelief are the culmination of the "hunger for righteousness", and that this hunger is due exclusively to the ability or talent to see that there must be a far more perfect and more highly intellectual idea or plan behind the universe or the phenomena of everyday life than that which has until now been taught in churches and temples.
      But how else could it have acquired this hunger other than through the wealth of experience afforded by life and the cycle? And how else could it be able to receive a more perfect or more highly intellectual answer to the mystery of life other than on the strength of this hunger, this doubt and disbelief, in relation to the dogmas and presumptions inherited from former times, and which are now obsolete for it? Every satiation must be preceded by a hunger. It can be only divine and not "sinful" that a human being hungers after higher insight, higher knowledge of the universe, or wants to arrive at a solution to the mystery of life that is in no way inferior to that which matches the level of morality and humanity that it has itself grown to be able to manifest. The fact that doubt and disbelief with regard to "heaven" and "hell" are the expressions of a stage at which it makes its originator, for the time being, into a total atheist, believing in neither eternal life nor any high-intellectual world plan, but on the contrary imagining that everything is chance, does not alter the principle. This being belongs to the group of beings that are unable to believe, and is therefore, through the evolution that is a result of the course of the sun and the Earth, led onwards to belong to the group of those that "shall be filled". Life knows well enough how to provide them with a rich supply of experiences that can cause them to long to see that there is a plan, logic and consequently justice and consciousness behind the whole universe, and that thereby renders them receptive to the satiation that constitutes the "Helper, the Holy Spirit" or "cosmic consciousness", and thereby the world redeemer's words: "Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled", become truth.
