The beings' sufferings or unhappy states are not the completed final results that Providence intended but only the intermediate stages on the way to them
906. But the fact that there all the same can be beings that are cold and hungry, beings that are debilitated by sorrow and suffering and who are dismembered and groaning in pain during war, is merely an expression of the fact that the process of creation has not yet come to an end or reached its destination. As it is a fact that the Earth contains enough food, enough space, enough sunlight and warmth and sufficient variety of colour for the number of living beings in its domain, it is not the transformation of the sea of fire that there is something wrong with, nor can these calamities have been in any way the final result that was intended by the creative power, that is, the source of the transformation. If that were the case, there would certainly be no point in the existence of the aforementioned benefits in such abundance. But as they are nevertheless present in superabundance, it cannot possibly mean that anyone should go cold and hungry, or be subjected to want and suffering. That these calamities do nevertheless occur is merely an expression of the fact that we have arrived at – not Providence's completed, final result – but merely the highest point of the current stage in this great transformation. And this means that we can actually observe what is completed and what is not completed in this transformation. The great abundance of vital necessities, the climate, nutrients and materials, as well as the outstanding natural beauty, shows that the transformation of the planet from its fiery state has now reached such a stage where it can fully serve as the basis for a pleasant and perfect existence for terrestrial human beings, above the level of animals.
