908. But these beings cannot be blamed for the state in which they find themselves. As we saw, the misery is not caused by a lack of the things that these beings are fighting and going to war over, but a lack of the ability to think and the resultant lack of a comprehensive view of their own actual situation. But the beings are not able to regulate or administer something that they have no comprehensive view of. That existence must seem like chaos, which the beings sometimes express in phrases such as an "Eldorado of sin" or a "vale of tears", is only natural and proves to the advanced researcher that at this stage the beings are wholly devoid of sufficient ability to think and to have a comprehensive view of their own life, fate and existence.
      But Providence cannot be blamed for this "misery" either. The creative power that, over the course of millions of years, has transformed the molten materials into such a wonderful and heavenly place to live, which the Earth – on account of the rich colouring of its life forms and its abundance of living conditions that promote well-being and bliss – can be said to be, cannot have set in motion such a display of energy lasting such enormous spans of time in order to bring about such a state of perfection, only to suddenly allow the final result to be chaos, disharmony, misery and wretchedness. The results of these millions of years of evolution – the living beings' harmoniously built-up organisms and sensory tools, each one fulfilling a purpose one hundred per cent, and, through the use of these sensory tools, the beginnings of the ability to think and its further development right up to an incipient intellectual power of perception, so that the beings can begin to ask for and seek an explanation of the mystery of life – cannot be manifested in order to let the answer to the question suddenly be: chaos, pure chance, "sin" and "godlessness", "hell" and "punishment", "eternal damnation" or "hell fire" for any being, just as little as it can be in order to lavish a particular favour or a special display of love on certain beings that are specially favoured by the creative power, otherwise there would be a flaw in this creative power's otherwise one hundred per cent perfect creative ability. This would mean that the plan that this power had in mind was only partly successful. All beings that are condemned to "eternal damnation" must then be phenomena that were faulty; they must be a waste of both material and energy, that is unless one wants to go as far as to accept that this phenomenon exists in order to satisfy a perverse and sadistic tendency on the part of the eternal Providence. But who would venture to hold such a view? Where is the logical basis for such a view? Would it not be in glaring opposition to all the other phenomena that can be considered as finished in the divine creative process? And does it not bear a one hundred per cent resemblance to the very phenomena in this process that are not yet finished? Do you not think that we would be more in harmony with our own innermost self and the divine perfection that we see in the light of the sun, in the orbit of the stars, the growth of plants and the creation of the beings' organisms by perceiving "hell", the unhappy fates and sufferings as belonging to those phenomena in the creative process that are as yet unfinished?
