917. After this brief glimpse into the great creative process, we can better understand the meaning of "hell-fire" or what "hell" in fact is. The creative process has shown us that the Earth has been transformed from a mixture of glowing, boiling, fiery materials into an organised and well-equipped planet, with an excessive wealth of possibilities and conditions that it needs in order to constitute a world full of well-being for advanced, intellectual beings' free expression, and in fact even be the scene of the "kingdom of heaven" itself, and consequently this transformation of the Earth is to us an unshakable revelation of the culmination of love.
      In this process of transformation or creation we met the terrestrial human life form, or more correctly terrestrial mankind, as the latest and therefore the youngest and most recent phenomenon in this masterpiece of creation. It was in fact still so tender or unfinished that it had not yet been brought into a harmonious relationship with the wealth of life resources that the creative process had already laid at its feet. But through this "infancy" it was led by the creative power from one experiment to another, and it thereby discovered bit by bit which manifestations were in contact with the creation of well-being for itself and the manifestations that, through their existence, undermined this well-being, producing suffering or destruction. Through this relationship the originator of the creative plan therefore bestowed on terrestrial mankind the mental nourishment, teaching and instruction that gives it a correspondingly increasing knowledge of real life and thereby an ever increasing, unerring ability to distinguish between "good" and "evil". And it is this state of growth that we know today as "evolution". Evolution is therefore, as we have already mentioned, the result of all the being's faulty steps as well as its rightful behaviour in life. But since everything the individual comes into contact with in life or existence, both his own manifestations as well as those of his fellow beings and of Nature, can bring about only "evolution", that is to say, mental and physical growth towards an absolutely perfect, one hundred per cent ability to fulfil all the requirements of life's laws that produce true, culminating happiness and well-being for its fellow beings as much as for itself – this happiness or well-being being in turn synonymous with the "kingdom of heaven", "the state of being overshadowed by the holy spirit" or "cosmic consciousness" – this also enables us to see that the living beings' life on this planet is an indispensable link in the revelation of the world plan or Nature's divine creative process as culminating love.
      But as the transformation of the planet from its fiery state to its current state, with its superabundance of vital resources and its resultant ability to provide one hundred per cent well-being for terrestrial human, animal life, is love, and as terrestrial mankind's temporary existence on this planet is a process of improving, adapting and becoming more skilled in placing these vital resources so that they in the most appropriate way guarantee a state of happiness for every one of its individuals and this is thereby also love, what has become of "eternal damnation"? What has become of "everlasting hell", which should be the revelation of the "wrath of God" and "punishment" for the "sins" of mankind? Have we in fact ever come across any "sin" or "sinners"? From the elevated position from which we have been surveying the world plan, life and terrestrial human beings, did we not see that all these expressions applied merely to the individuals' initial, childish mental ideas about the extremely pleasant and unpleasant local realities represented by their daily life and fate?
      How could the being that is just beginning to wake up on the physical plane, from the transformed materials of the sea of fire, be able to have anything other than vague, local ideas? Does not the little, new-born baby begin its mental entry into the world at its mother's breast? Is it not the case that this temporarily constitutes its entire world? Is not this little local area of the great physical world, which it has come into, gradually supplemented with more and more experiences and details that widen its horizon and make its physical existence richer and fuller? So why should not the same apply to the great creative process? No creation can exist without being a growth.
