934. With the being's capacity to receive and send out energy we have arrived at the very deepest root of the experience of life. Absolutely every form of experience, whether great or small, leads us back to its rootedness here in "X2". This rootedness is therefore in reality the deepest source of the individual's fate, and the seat of the individual's "receiving" and "giving out" of energy, and is in fact the chief function in the individual's fate. We will therefore call this region within "X1" and "X2", in which the "turning of the energy" takes place and becomes "receiving" and "giving out", the "fate element". We will in turn record this element in "Livets Bog" as "life substance no. 11".
