But the effects of these two great talent kernels or poles do not always culminate in the "male gender" or the "female gender"; they can also be seen to culminate as the "double gender", that is to say in a harmoniously, equally balanced manifestation. Consequently, in this culmination the being appears as neither a specifically "male being" nor a specifically "female being". On the contrary, it appears as a being in whom femininity and masculinity, both physical as well as mental, have lost their sharp, well-defined contours in favour of the design of a totally new being. This new being differs from the "male" or the "female" being in that it has a "double horizon". Whereas the "male being" senses in the main only in a "masculine" way and the "female being" only in a "feminine" way, causing each of them to live within their own sphere of consciousness or horizon, the completely "double-poled being" senses in both a masculine and a feminine way and thereby has the possibility of experiencing life in both these great contrasting spheres.
It is this experience of life that can reveal its mystery, and make the individual one with the "Father", one with the "way, the truth and the life". And it is this mental state that is the reason why in the "kingdom of heaven" one "neither marries, nor is given in marriage", just as it is the same widening of the individual's horizon that constitutes what is called the "holy spirit" or "cosmic consciousness". It is this state of consciousness that enables the abundantly loving and life-giving "human being" to rise up from the destruction and ruins of the killing and murdering "animal". Life therefore also consists of this third gender. This gender we will call "life substance no. 21".
