944. In addition to the substances mentioned here, there are talent kernels in the "fate element" with which the living being expresses all its other abilities, manifestations, wishes and talents, and we will look more closely at these in the following sections.
With the "life substances" that we have already mentioned we have dealt with the most important substances that, as we shall see later, make up or represent the I's "superconsciousness".
We have seen that this superconsciousness, as "X2", has its roots in the I, and that this consequently forms the absolute foundation or "fixed point" of the consciousness.
As we have seen, "X2" is the home of all the individual's talent kernels.
This "X" is therefore in fact the "store-room" of the individual's abilities.
Here we find the talent kernels for absolutely everything the individual is able to do.
All its supreme mental treasures acquired over the course of its lives are therefore contained here in the fate element, in the form of talent kernels.
Here is assembled the essence of all its former lives, all the events experienced during these lives, the sufferings and sorrows as well as the joys and happiness.
And this essence will determine the being's fate in its present life and forthcoming ones.
It is this essence that is the individual's spiritual blood.
The blood cells consist of the talent kernels.
It is this blood that determines whether we will meet in this being murderous hatred and persecution, or whether the being will bestow on us sympathy and love's most tender caresses, so that we can sense the presence of God through its visible manifestations.
It is the same blood that will determine whether its originator shall spend its future lives in mental and physical health and well-being, being a genius that can bestow blessings on its surroundings, or whether it will be imprisoned in the shadow regions of mental deficiency, insanity and abnormality, bringing unhappiness to itself and alarm and terror to other beings.
The factors that determine the whole of the being's fate are therefore implanted irrevocably in its fate element.
It is in "X1" and "X2" that the absolute essence of the living being therefore exists, but this essence is not in itself "consciousness" and would not indicate any experience of life if there existed only these two "X's".
Everything here appears only as "automatic functions", stored in a concentrated state in the form of talent kernels.
But as these talent kernels therefore in reality contain the entire invisible power with which the visible aspect of the living being can be created and can function and express itself, and consequently are the being's innermost core, root or the power of its consciousness, we have called this area or aspect of the living being the "superconsciousness".
The "superconsciousness" constitutes in turn "life substance no. 28".
