But the "superconsciousness" cannot unfold itself, become life and experience for the living being through its own power alone; it can do so only through this inner power or force coming into contact with a force from without. But this contact with the foreign force cannot take place in the superconsciousness itself, as the forces here are bound in the talent kernels. And where no unfolding takes place, no sensory perception and thereby no direct visibility can be manifested either. The superconsciousness will by nature always be invisible or inaccessible to direct sensory perception. The superconsciousness is therefore the area or environment that is closest to the I and is thus, in a way, raised to the nature of this I as something invisible. As the superconsciousness therefore constitutes a combination of bound forces and therefore cannot display an energy directly towards foreign energies, it is absolutely unable, as we have said, to create any form of direct movement or reaction. But as existence in everyday life is the same as the experience of an ocean of reactions of different energies meeting each other, it becomes evident to us that between the living being's superconsciousness and the external energies there has to be an area in which the I's bound forces can be released and become movement or energy, and thereby come into contact with the external forces that will enable the reactions to arise that we call "thoughts", "sensory impressions", "manifestation" or "creation" and thereby the combined experience of life. This area is already known to us under the term "subconsciousness". And we will designate it here "life substance no. 29".
