984. As the individual can exist only as the centre in his own sensory horizon and can therefore experience the objects or details in this horizon only on the strength of precisely this relationship to a centre, surely the individual cannot experience any kind of "false image"? Well, he most certainly can. If he has not found his own true centre, his experience of the details of his sensory horizon can be nothing but an experience of these details' relationship to a "false" centre. And his entire evaluation of life through his sensory horizon will then be a correspondingly "false" or unreal evaluation. His world picture as well as his view of himself will therefore be something completely other than it really is. And it is this unreal experience of life that culminates in the cold, one hundred per cent materialist of the animal kingdom. It is this unreal image that all godless human beings have succumbed to, just as it is the same false sense of centre that is the cause of anger, hatred and persecution between the beings as well as the aforementioned distortion of the initial phase of world redemption and its world redeemers; so we describe these phenomena respectively as "evil" or the "evil one" and such like.
