When the physical organism is used as the centre of the sensory perspective and the consequences of this. A new centre for the formation of perspective becomes visible
989. But "concepts of speed" can come about through only a "measuring" of the movement. This "measuring" can in turn be made only with the help of point that in relation to the movement is a "fixed point". But does such a "fixed point" exist when everything that can be sensed is in reality "movement"? No, in the material world no absolute "fixed point" exists. Here everything is "movement". But since it is a fact that the "movement" is "measured", that is to say sensed, there must be "something" that can "measure" the "movement". And this "something" is the "living being". And we already know how this being exists as the centre of this "measuring" of matter and uses its own organism as the "fixed point" for the "measuring". But since the organism is only a combination of matter, this "measuring" can be only the expression of one "created" object's relationship to another "created" object. As the organism is a "movement", it cannot be in any way a truly "fixed point", and the result of the "measuring" will be merely the relationship of one "movement" to another "movement". This result or answer will therefore constitute merely an answer based on a difference, an analysis of the relationship between the two objects, and therefore cannot possibly be a perfect analysis of either of the two objects. Consequently, we can see how inadequate such analyses or answers, which are the same as answers in terms of weights, measures or effects, are. Purely material sensing is therefore only an establishment of the relationship of objects to other objects, while the very object's own identity remains inaccessible to this form of sensing. With every object that is sensed in this way there remains an unexplained area. But an unexplained area is a mystery. And as long as the living being itself is shrouded in mystery, the being has not found itself. As long as there is mystery in the nature of the being, it has not completed the cycle. Mystery is hunger, and there is no hunger for which there does not exist a corresponding satiation. And since the satiation of this hunger, which appears in the form of mystery, can be initiated only by answers that not constitute only the relationship of objects to each other but also constitute the perfect analysis of the object itself, these answers are to be found and can be experienced. But they cannot be experienced from the perspective in which the organism appears as the centre or "fixed point". It is therefore not possible for these answers to appear or exist in the being's purely physical horizon. It therefore becomes evident that there is another horizon, one in which there exists quite another centre for the formation of perspective and where the peripheral details resulting from this centre are therefore something other than simply the relationship between objects and the individual's organism. This centre cannot be a "created" object, since in that case it would, just like the organism, be merely a centre in the perspective that gives only the mutual relationships between "movements" or "created" objects, that is to say, "relative" answers or the analyses in terms of weights, measures or effects.
