992. These answers are what Christ is talking about when he says that "heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away".
Christ's words, that is to say his teachings, were almost entirely "cosmic analyses".
These have of course been greatly obscured by succeeding generations with their over-emphasised feeling and under-emphasised intelligence and their excessive partiality for the world redemption that is to come.
On account of too pronounced an emphasis on feeling and too weak an emphasis on the faculty of intelligence, these generations or beings have the ability to imagine the world redemption to come only as a phenomenon that fits exactly their imperfect state of consciousness or ability to evaluate.
The great cosmic analyses from the lips of Jesus, such as, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself; it is the fulfilment of the law", "Whosoever shall smite thee on the right cheek, turn to him the other also", "Put up thy sword into its place, for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword", "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you" and so forth, have all been covered up with a misty veil of ideas – full of exaggerated feeling but lacking in intelligence – about a "wrathful God" that "takes revenge on" and "punishes" all beings who do not "believe" in him with "weeping and gnashing of teeth" in a fiery "hell" from which, once one has arrived there, one can never for all eternity be released.
Indeed, this covering up is so fundamentally dense that even Christianity's authorised clergy sometimes bless war, its machines of murder and perpetrators, at the same time as they interpret the Godhead as a being that has demanded the crucifixion and suffering of an innocent being as a condition for liberating all the guilty, all those who are responsible.
No one or nothing can be further from the absolute truth and justice.
It is of course obvious that such a view of reality or such an attitude towards the universe's or cosmos's deepest foundation or the originator of life had to lead to a "day of judgment" for each and every one who has brought it about, a "day of judgment" through which they can become convinced of their great mistake concerning the Godhead's consciousness and love and the absolute truth based on it.
How could they otherwise learn about their mistake or their state of being out of harmony with the truth?
They have covered up or camouflaged the world redeemer's words or interpretation, which were the living proclamation of the truth, so that it favoured their imperfect and consequently loveless existence, instead of favouring their own overcoming of this existence or their dark tendencies.
Instead of immersing themselves more deeply into the world redeemer's words or interpretation of the truth concerning what they should do to be "saved", they have tried to create an easier way to this state of light, a way in which they totally avoid responsibility for their actions by loading it onto a being that has had nothing whatsoever to do with these actions and that would therefore, although completely free of guilt, have to undergo the persecution and suffering resulting from the actions.
Having such an imperfect or incomplete sense of justice as the basis of one's bliss or one's life to come is the same as building the harmony and happiness of one's future fate on nothing but sand.
How do you think society would look if these views and practices governed the general administration of justice?
Just think how it would be if it were the custom to imprison innocent people and punish them for the crimes that one had oneself committed.
