1061. With regard to the spiral cycle, the reader who is not entirely at home with the analyses might fall victim to muddled thinking.
At worst he might completely deny the existence of this cycle by claiming that, if it really were so that we experience a bigger and bigger spiral cycle, "something" would have to come from "nothing", which is completely impossible.
And this is true.
"Something" cannot come from "nothing", but denying the spiral cycle would be the same as denying the microcosmos and the macrocosmos.
And who can base his daily life on such a view?
Who can deny that his or her organism does not consist of small life forms or living beings, cells, molecules and so on?
These "cosmoses" are thus established as an unshakeable physical fact.
As it is an equally unshakeable fact that the being is subject to an eternal alternation between "involution" and "evolution", each alternation forming a unit that we call a "cycle", and that the being's "eternal" existence can be experienced only in the form of a chain of these units or cycles that is just as "eternal" or endless, parts of this chain must be closer to the being's present cycle than other parts, which must be further away from it.
Since, according to the principle of perspective upon which all sensing depends, the units in the closer part of the chain seem bigger than the units or cycles in the more distant part, we have already here the reason for the being's perception of these "cosmoses".
Microcosmos and macrocosmos are thus merely expressions for sensory "indications of size" in the being's eternal chain of cycles.
It goes without saying that these "indications of size" are relative.
The concepts of "microcosmos" and "macrocosmos" express merely the foreign cycles from the perspective of the being's present cycle.
From an eternal perspective these "cosmoses" can express neither closeness nor distance nor any other answer in terms of weights and measures, but are identical to nothing other than "X".
So in this case the emergence of a "something" from "nothing" is not necessary for the presence of the above-mentioned "expanding" cycle.
Since the eternal life of the being consists of this infinite chain of repetitions of cycles, and every passage through such a cycle is an experience, which in turn means "something that has happened", and since what "has happened" within the sphere of experience cannot be "undone", the passage of the being through its eternal life could thus not possibly exist or occur unless it passed through, not the same cycle, but one new cycle after another.
But a passage through a cycle or circle continuing uninterruptedly through new circles or cycles can be described only as a "spiral principle".
The eternal life of the being thus cannot possibly be experienced except in the form of an eternally continuous "spiral passage" or an infinite "spiral cycle".
It is naturally a matter of course that this "spiral cycle" beyond the "temporal" sphere of experience, where there is neither "involution" nor "evolution" nor any other existing form of movement or manifestation, equals "X".
