The primordial notion of "size", "density", "porosity" and "weight", and the "principle of perspective"

Since during the actual experience of a thing it seems bigger or takes up "more" space the closer it is to the centre of the range of sensory perception, and vice versa the further it is towards the periphery of this range, the primordial notion of "size" arises here. But since the combinations of matter within these sizes or concepts of size can in turn be more or less dense, the primordial notions of "density" and "porosity" thus arise. But since the substances appearing within the concept of size or the area of space can be more or less concentrated, the primordial notion of what we express by the concept of "weight" arises. A thing with the same size or taking up the same space as another thing of the same size or volume can thus be "heavier" or "lighter" than it, if its content is denser or less dense than the content of the latter. We will not go into more detail here about temporal methods of sensory perception but emphasise merely that when things in the range of sensory perception can be both more or less "close" to or "distant" from the centre of the range of sensory perception than from other details in this range, and similarly can be "lighter" or "heavier" than other things in this range, we have here the principle upon which all sensory perception depends. Without this principle, sensory perception would be totally impossible. We know this principle as the "principle of contrast" within the range of sensory perception. If all things were equally big, weighed the same, had the same colour and so on, what then would mark the limit of the details, which in turn is the same as the "visibility" of the things or their accessibility to sensory perception? This "limitation" or "visibility" of things is maintained exclusively by this principle, which is the same as the "principle of perspective", which in turn has its primordial origin in "X2", to which we will return later.
