1123. The "terrestrial parent principle" is thus in actual fact merely a feeble reflection of the "superterrestrial parent principle" appearing here. Just as the terrestrial human being for a short time has its origin in a terrestrial representation of the two poles – "he" and "she" or the "father principle" and the "mother principle" – so the "living being" also has its origin in a superterrestrial representation of the same two poles, but here it holds true not merely for a "short time", but for "eternity". But just as the terrestrial "child" is nursed, nurtured and cared for by the life, consciousness, talents, flesh and blood of the "terrestrial parent principle", so too is the "living being" "nursed", "nurtured" and "cared for" entirely by the "superterrestrial parent principle", its consciousness being nourished by the life, consciousness, talents, flesh and blood of this principle. The fact that the "terrestrial parent principle" is represented by two "living beings" – the "father" and the "mother" – while the "superterrestrial parent principle" is represented by only one single "living being", that is the "Godhead", does not prevent the particular nature or basic idea of the "terrestrial" and "superterrestrial parent principle" being identical. The "living being", by its supreme nature, is a being whose two poles manifest themselves equally or in a balanced way in its own body, thus constituting at one and the same time the "male principle" and the "female principle", which means, the "father principle" and the "mother principle" with which it at the same time represents the very highest perfection of conscious mental life, mentality and spirit. In its home zone in evolution or the spiral cycle it is therefore also subject to a method of reproduction that lies totally outside that which determines that "the woman shall give birth to her children with pain", a method that is thus determined only by, and holds true in, the zone of the "Fall" or the zone of darkness. We will later in the description of the outer worlds in the spiral cycle go into these principles in more detail. Here they are merely hinted at in order to give the reader a little supplement to the confirmation of how the universe or the Godhead in itself constitutes this supreme "parent principle", and that the "living being", as a child of this principle, is irrefutably a "son of God".
