1131. It is thus not so strange that mankind's greatest wise people, great prophets and world redeemers have not used "marital love" or "family feeling" as a goal for the being's ideals, life and aspirations, or as an expression of the highest laws of life, but very quickly discovered the "love" revealed by Nature's own creative manifestations, which cannot favour or give preferential treatment. One quickly realised that here was the ideal, here was the very highest example of a moral code of life that can possibly be manifested or experienced through the senses. The creative power in Nature made it apparent that its source loved all "living beings" just as greatly as it loved itself. Here was the only guideline for the exercising of the will that would not lead to war, mutilation and death, but to life, joy and happiness. And the greatest ideal of the world became "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself".
