The transformation of the terrestrial human being from "half being" to "whole being"
1134. The "perfect" or "finished human being" is thus not a "man" or "woman", it is neither a specifically "male being" nor a specifically "female being"; it is on the contrary a being in whom both the poles, the masculine and the feminine, are equal. The former "man" has now become a being that, in an awake day-conscious form, is sexually conscious of the feminine side of life, while the former "woman" has become a being that, in a corresponding awake day-conscious form, has become conscious of the masculine side of life. The fact that they have become awake day-conscious of the specific nature of the opposite pole means that their sexual sensory faculty has developed so that, in addition to being day-conscious of the sexual side of life that was their original nature, they are now also just as sensorily day-conscious or awake day-conscious of the sexual nature or side of life that for them was foreign territory reserved for beings of the "opposite sex" to be conscious of, this being the reason why this "opposite sex" became a vital desire. Thus while previously they were in fact merely "half beings", they have now become "whole beings".
