Since "neighbourly love" is thus identical with a new form of sexuality, and "neighbourly love" in turn holds true for animals as well as human beings, or in fact all living things, the reader may perhaps object here, arguing that such a form of sexuality must be an extremely gruesome phenomenon. On the more perfect or higher plane of existence, for which the sexuality mentioned above is the foundation, one would thus actually have a "sexual relationship" or "sexual intercourse" with animals as well as with human beings. And here the answer must unshakeably be that a "sexual relationship" or "sexual intercourse" in terrestrial terms (one-poled sexuality) with other living beings, regardless of whether they are from within one's own species or race or outside it, cannot possibly occur in the "real human kingdom" or on a higher plane of existence. The being here has become a perfect or "finished human being" by virtue of the fact that it is no longer a "sexually one-poled being", but on the contrary is now a perfect "sexually double-poled being". It thus no longer appears as a specifically "male being" or a specifically "female being", and will thus no longer have the desire or the ability to carry out the "one-poled" sexual act. By the "one-poled" sexual act must here be understood the satisfaction of the sexual hunger of a "male being" and a "female being" through their material union by means of their "organs for caressing" and the culminating feeling of pleasure ensuing from this. For the individual whose appearance is still very markedly that of a "male being" or a "female being" this process of sexual satisfaction is of course entirely natural and constitutes that which is considered "normal", if it is carried out by two beings of the same race or species or very closely related ones. If, on the contrary, this sexual act takes place between a "terrestrial human being" and a being that belongs to the category known as "animals" it is of course abnormal and harmful or disastrous for those involved. Such a union between an animal and a terrestrial human being can be carried out absolutely only by virtue of an unhealthy sexual attitude. It serves no useful purpose, but can directly harm and even destroy the mental state, normal wellbeing and zest for life of such a terrestrial human being, leading it further and further into the gruesome regions of mental illness and abnormality, just as it can also cripple the mentality of the other party.
      In order that a "one-poled" sexual act can fulfil the divine purpose for which it was intended, which thus means, form the foundation of the continued existence of the species and give rise to the great joy and zest for living that is a prerequisite for a healthy, mental and bodily wellbeing in the zone of the animal kingdom, the parties must naturally be of the same race or very closely related ones. The intention of life is thus not that very closely related races should not unite in sexual intercourse. On the contrary, it is through this very union that Nature creates new species or races and allows old races and species to die out. Great sexual fascination or attraction sometimes occurs between beings of closely related races. And where this kinship is not too distant and is particularly suitable or of a beneficial nature, sexual intercourse will result in offspring that can be nothing but an advantageous renewal of the race, and thereby an ennobling of it.
      "One-poled sexuality" has thus specific, drawn-up paths that must be followed if zest for life and normality are to be preserved. The fact that this form of sexuality is not the form that constitutes "neighbourly love" and that thereby predominates on a higher plane of existence is obvious. If this form of sexuality were the one to continue, the manifestation of the principle of world redemption, all spiritual teaching, the highest wisdom of life, the endeavours of all wise people and world redeemers, everything that stimulates "neighbourly love" would not only be totally in vain but also downright harmful since the true nature of this entire display of energy is such that it offers resistance to and undermines the above-mentioned sexuality or "one-poled" sexual state. But for the time being this sexuality will have its way. In evolutionary terms or in terms of the individual's mentality it is so old that its existence and laws are in fact automatic functions or "C-knowledge", even in the so-called "dumb animal". And as we have seen here, this form of sexuality has nothing whatsoever to do with the form of "sexual" behaviour that, as "neighbourly love", governs the higher plane of existence or "real human kingdom" that lies immediately above the domain of the terrestrial human being.
